Today
I want to share with you my project for March’s moodboard as below. My key words for
this project are: Purple, yellow, orange, texture , round shaped and lavender.
I
have an old make up case which I loved a lot when I was young and throughout
the years I do not use that vivid colors of make up anymore thus it was laying
inside the drawer gathering dust for some time now. So I had this idea to alter
it into something special and beautiful. And this is the perfect object for
this project.
I
have chosen the newewst products fm Finnabair for the coloring. The new rust
paste sets are very easy to use and versatile. The best thing is that you do
not even need to prime the surface before coloring. Texture was easily made just
with the Paper Paste and a brush!! Dried lavender was used to add up the
texture. Remember to be careful if your area has high humidity and it may cause
your piece to get moldy on the lavenders.
Here
I used the Finnbair Impasto paints to make the solid color of purple. Impasto
paint is a rich and heavy body matte acrylic paint which gives very beautiful
and vintage look of everything. I strongly encourage you to try out this
product. You will not be disappointed!
