Mixed Media Halloween Canvas

For the month of Oct, I decided to make something a bit spooky and also moody.

So I chose the deep black and mouldy green tone for the piece.
This canvas is for Lindys Oct monthly challenge

First I prepared the background with clear gesso, and then I used Magical - Blazing Black to mix with modeling paste. I applied that on crackle stencil for background texture, and also used the black modeling paste on the top of some of the chipboards.

as the background colors. I intentionally did not shake the Rusty Lantern Lime so the shimmer part wont be appear on the canvas surface for a more moody ancient effect.

While waiting on the surface to dry, I applied Embossing Powder - Ghouly Goblin Green/Midnight Pewter  to different types of chipboard including some chipboard leftover (negative parts). I also used spray Rusty Lantern Lime on some clay embellishments

After I randomly put texture stamps on the canvas, I put layers of cardboards in between the elements and just glued them on.
I chose a Maleficent photo as the focal point cos she fits perfectly beautifully with the halloween and also the color tones of what I envision.

the stickers are : "An invited Guest" and "where soundly, sweetly, sleeps my dear"

I love this month's color choices and this will be my door decoration for the month ! Thank you Lindys for the inspirations !

I am very honored that this piece made the WINNERS of Lindy's Gang Oct monthly challenge !! that is the second time I got this honor !!
