Mixed Media Japan Traditional Wedding Layout

hello crafty friends, today I have a new layout for you!

This Layout is to enter to the current 7 Dots Studio challenge

I was inspired by the RED color and the Japanese graphic in the mooodboard.
As you may know, I am married to Japanese and live in Japan permanently.

This moodboard recalled my beautiful wedding photos that I dressed in the traditional Japanese outfit.

It is also the 14th wedding anniversary of us last weekend. so I feel this is EXACTLY what I want to create !

The Japanese Character I wrote has several meanings: first it means Japan(Yamato), second it means "harmony", I wish for harmony in my family, the last, it also means "together", perfect for this photo indeed.

Here is the products I have used on this layout

7 Dots Studio products:
Northern Lights – Frayed Knot
Homegrown - Tags
Verano Azul - Die-cut Elements
Paint Chips - Hatched Stencil
Hazy Days - Clear Stamps
Dreamscapes - Clear Stamps

Lindy's Gang products:
Lindy's Gang Flat Labio Queen of Hearts Red
Lindy's Gang Starburst Bombshell Black

Finnabair products:
Art Extravagance Icing Paste Fire Ruby
Art Extravagance Icing Paste White Gold
Art Extravagance Icing Paste Red Amber

I have chosen a bit black tone paper for this layout, it is because a marriage is not all flowers and rainbows, we have had up and downs, swirls and twists but that have given more depths to our relationship. Hence I left the background dark as it is.

After using Finnabair Icing pastes on the background, I started spraying the background with Lindy's Gang red tone, then added two thin coats of black color too in order to make it look more mature.

I used the Homegrown - Tags to create layers to pop up for the photo. I also have used many handmade flowers fm Lena Foeng. Then I got some Japanese traditional celebration elements in Red and gold color to add up the texture since the main colors of Japanese wedding are Red, White and Gold. I also added many Fantasy Dies paper die cut to give soft images and curves to the whole piece.

I am also entering this layout to Fantasy Dies' Nov Gallery.

I hope you like what I have shared <3
